Who we are
About Us
Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores (Portuguese Society of Authors) is a limited liability cooperative, established in 1925 to Manage Author’s Rights. It is the sole entity of its kind in Portugal, representing more than 20,000 Portuguese authors and authors from about 200 sister societies spread throughout 90 foreign countries. We represent authors from all literary and artistic areas (music, audiovisual, dance, plastic arts, cinema,etc.).
