It is on the 15th of this month that the CCB will receive the annual gala of SPA made in partnership with the public television station at the CCB, starting at 10 pm, with direct transmission through RTP2.
Júlio Pereira will perform in this gala, and due homage to José Afonso will also be made, with whom he worked very hard in the last years of his career, after the 25th of April.
SPA celebrates by this way the passage of the 30 years of the death of the great singer-author.
In association with the commemorations of the 60 years of RTP’s life, SPA includes in the gala tributes to Natália Correia, João Villaret, David Mourão-Ferreira, Raul Solnado and Victorino Nemésio.
Tozé Brito, celebrating 50 years of his career, will perform with Paulo de Carvalho, also remembering together his interventions in several RTP Song Festivals.
The gala will be presented by Mafalda Arnauth and Pedro Lamares and will also feature interventions by Mariza, Joana Amendoeira and Virgílio Castelo in honor of the authors of reference in the life of the station.
The Municipality of Penafiel will receive the Autarchic Award for the Best Cultural Program of 2016.
During the gala awards will be granted to distinguish the best works in all disciplines that SPA represents and encompasses.
The opening of the gala will be done with the intervention of the Philharmonic Band of OLIVAIS.
In the end, the writer António Lobo Antunes will receive the Life and Work Award for his published work of fiction.
President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will be present at this annual celebration of the Portuguese authors’ cooperative, as well as the Minister of Culture, Luís Filipe de Castro Mendes.
